The Scholastic Book Fair is Coming to Anne Hutch!

Did you know reading just 20 minutes a day exposes your child to about 1.8 million words per year? It helps students develop a stronger vocabulary and those who read for pleasure average higher grades in English, mathematics, science, and history. Once the skill is embraced, it brings extraordinary benefits to individuals, families and community. Reading is a special gift!

Encourage your child to read books for fun by attending our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Allow your child to choose the books they want to read. Come see a wide selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.

Book Fair dates:       Tuesday, October 23rd & Wednesday, October 24th

Shopping hours:        9am-2:30pm

To make the book fair a success, we need volunteers for set-up and sales. You can find the online sign-up sheet HERE or you can email your preferred time to Colleen Liberatore at cpcliberatore@yahoo.com and Petra Diamantis at petradiamantis@yahoo.com.

Parents and/or caregivers are encouraged to come in and shop with their children during their child’s allotted class time.  Click here for the Book Fair Schedule or check the Hutch Happenings.  For your convenience our book fair will accept cash, checks, and credit cards.  If you are unable to attend and wish your child to purchase items, please be sure to send money in with your child on the day he/she is attending the fair.  Rest assured, parent volunteers and teachers are available to provide guidance to the children with their book selections.

In the past, we have had great success with our Teacher Wish List program. Teachers select books that would enhance their classroom library.  At the fair, your child will have an opportunity to purchase book(s) to donate to his/her classroom.  This act of generosity puts more books into the hands of the children at Anne Hutch!

We would like to thank you in advance for donating your time, money and support to our school in achieving a common goal of developing young minds.

If you have any questions, please contact Colleen Liberatore 914-772-7602 or Petra Diamantis at 917-499-5203.  Thank you for your support!
